Introduction

Atlantic University offers a Master of Arts degree program in Transformative Theories and Practices that is designed specifically for adults interested in exploring life and themselves, using innovative learning methods. This program is unique in that it introduces the student to the multiple dimensions of holistic living and encourages the process of personal growth. The degree program is available as a distance-learning program with limited, optional residential studies available. The interdisciplinary nature of the program provides students with a variety of learning experiences as well as exposure to alternative methods of education.

The distance-learning program of study uses established study guides as the basis for instruction. After registration, the student receives course materials or links and is assigned to a member of the faculty, who serves as the Mentor for the course. The mode of communication between the mentor and the student is through e-mail and within the electronic classroom.
